Leaders broke
promise
To the Editor:
It's not so surprising that
once again the elected officials are not listening to the citizens;
we’re getting used to that. This time, however, they have gone
beyond that and actually broken their promise. Should we be
surprised? The last we read about the Mediterranean Village Project,
and any other new condominium construction in the central business
district of Rolling Hills Estates, our government leaders would look
first at the impact of newly constructed projects and then decide
whether or not to move forward on any additional projects. None of
those projects, such as the one at Crenshaw and Silver Spur, are
completed and occupied, and yet, the RHE City Council appears to be
moving forward with their Mediterranean Village.
We applaud council members Zuckerman and Addleman, who appear to be
the only voices of honesty and reason.
